I’ll be at the Tysons location. It’ll be interesting to see this after what’s happened over the past two weeks.

Supposedly there’s about 6 minutes in the film where he directly addresses… events that have recently come to light.

Good to know – thanks. Doubt it’ll be too insightful but who knows…

If anyone is looking for where it is being shown, Regal Theater is calling it “The Story of Levi Leipheimer” rather than “The Levi Effect.” I noticed that when Fandango showed no area theaters as showing it tonight, even though I knew it was showing. I just saw that Patrick Dempsey (oops – I mean the movie and live panel discussion) will be showing tonight at Ballston Regal, AMC Hoffmann Ctr., Regal Potomac Yard, AMC Mazza and AMC Tysons.

Overall a pretty good show. Levi does speak to the doping topic for a few minutes, nothing that wasn’t already known. Sad to see an empty theater but not unexpected.

I enjoyed the film. It was mainly a bio pic (as expected) about Levi’s early years, how he got into cycling, his family, a bit about decision points he faced, and more about his hopes for a clean future for cycling, the gorgeous scenery and road and dirt biking around Sonoma County where he now lives on a farm with his wife and a menagerie, and the Grand Fondo that he and others started there to build on an already big cycling community and raise funds for local causes. Nice cinematography.

I wish I could have gone. Where did y’all see it?

I saw it at Potomac Yard and SQ saw it at Tysons. If you’re looking for it and not finding it, it’s because it was a one night event. I don’t think very many people knew about it. SQ clued me in. (Thanks, SQ!)

The filmmakers were the same ones who made “Race Across the Sky.”

I also would have liked to have seen it but had a conflict last night. I understand it will be available on DVD or download in a few months.

I saw it listed as a one-night event on Fathom’s web site. We’ll see if others keep showing it. It has a fairly limited audience. It would still be cool to see it on the big screen if I can.

I wonder if Arlington Cinema Drunk house could be talked into it. They’ve had great turn out for bikecentric movies in the past.
