    Agreed, it’s not a hard climb by any measure of the word. I’d classify it more as “annoying” since it’s basically just a 2% slog for a couple of hours.

    Running it west to east though there’s roughly 60 miles of 1% climb from about Confluence to the Continental Divide, honestly not sure which is more annoying

    You could alwayys take the road instead. I did once, before that section of the trail was open. The downhills are amazing. The uphills not so much. I think I left a lung on the side of the road outside Frostburg,
