Anybody in for Rough Roubaix (and carpool)?

I rode the 52 last year and am riding the 90 this year. Will be running Bonti AW3 Hard Case 28c tires, just like last year. Those tires were more than fine, but, if I had larger tires, I would run them.

I would be into carpooling, however, am planning to go down Saturday morning and get a medium length MTB ride in and then camp at Todd Lake.

Is a gravel rig really necessary or will a road bike with 28mm hardcase tires work?

I did not find it necessary to ride a gravel specific rig, but let’s be honest, each person and manufacture has a different definition of what is a gravel bike. The bike I used last year, an Indy Fab Club Racer with 28 hard case tires, was totally fine. There is not that many miles of gravel. And none of the gravel sections were very deep nor using large stones.
