Anti-bike incident in Frederick, MD?

I don’t ride in Frederick but I happened to see this posted on the Bike DC Facebook page. (I was checking to see if there might be a 2014 Bike DC event. Then I saw the item posted by someone else on that page.)

If anyone rides in that area, you may want to read through the comments and determine what exactly is going on. Was there an actual road rage incident? Or was this just the feeble Internet rants of a frustrated bigot? I only skimmed through some of the comments. Some of it is clearly disturbing, but it may just be Internet trolling and boasting. Or not. The original comments seem to have been deleted, but someone posted a screenshot of some of the posts.

The initial posts are dated from September. Some of the responses are calm and reasonable. It could be useful to have additional responses from mature individuals, if you are familiar with cycling in Frederick (which I am not). At the very least, this might be of interest to those who ride there. If someone is actually running cyclists down, the police should know about it. If it’s just Internet boasting, then a dialogue might help to clear the air. Or at least calm some of those people down so that they try to resolve their complaints through peaceful and civilized acts.

Last time I rode up there with a relative’s friend, I did encounter some kids in an SUV come flying up close and lay on their horn for no good reason whatsoever. I chalked it up to stupid kids and let another LEO relative know in case they were in the area (wasn’t), but perhaps it’s a similar thing.
