Announcing National Bike Challenge Side Bet #1 – GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!

Greetings, while the world will be biking to work tomorrow for the first time in the rain for swag, we hardy cyclists have a more important reason to go out of our way – Forum Glory, i.e. getting likes for your side bet photo submission.

With this I am pleased to announce the first ever National Bike Challenge Side Bet, entitled, “GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL”
The World cup begins Thursday June 12th with Brazil taking on Croatia. Similar to our presidential challenge, contestants will need to snap 2 photos, one representing each country (unless you could get them both in one photo) and post together in one thread . The first matchup is pretty easy since both embassies are within a mile of each other. We would use the established 3-likes judging protocol, and a bike needs to be in the photos. An added rule would be that photos can’t be repeated (subjects yes, photos no). I can’t just keep posting my Brazilian restaruant photo that I took once througout the summer. The contest ends Sunday July 13th with the World Cup Final. We don’t have to wait until June to start (there are 4 matches a day from June 13th through June 26th).

First few matches are:
6/12 Brazil vs Croatia
6/13 Chile vs Australia, Mexico vs Cameroon and Spain vs the Netherlands
6/14 Colombia vs Greece, Uruguay vs Costa Rica, England vs Italy, and Cote d’Ivoire vs Japan

Someone else can post the entire schedule, it is easily googled. Get out there and get some shots on Goal!
