Enjoyed riding this route for the first time, as I always was intriqued by the BWI loop around the airport, which is a bit confusing, even with LL road markings, as there are a LOT of turns on windy trails. Other than the BWI loop, the road markings were outstanding on the century route. My only wish was that they should’ve printed the cue sheet vertically, rather than horizontally, as it was confusing to flip the sheet on your handlebar and find out that you had missed +/- 20 miles!:-0. It also meant that I had to stop and refold my cue sheet 2x times as normal. But that wasn’t as important as the road markings were clear, and the scenery gorgeous.

Kudos to local law enforcement who staffed every major intersection and ensured safe passage for the cyclists. This was the best traffic control that I have ever seen for any organized ride.

The rest stops were well stocked, and a lot of fun, with the Halloween decorations and costumes.

Here are some pics from our group of HF, Sarah Bee and me…

A very chilly start at 36 degrees F at Kinder Farm Park, my coldest start of the season so far. f28db9c4790a9feba4eab457bb0048cf.jpg

A Wicked Witch of the West on TT bike with a flashing blinky was the marker for the Parks & Rec HQ rest stop at mile 22, where they had a pit fire to warm up your fingers, toes and bum :-). dd52e6acbb34102fb04fa6e24c97e2f2.jpg

We ran into Pirates at the Galesville Park rest stop at mile 37.2 33f3f304e6082a0ac0df0850f5185949.jpg

Had to be careful of Zombies at the Dixon Observation Area rest stop, mile 81.6 e2a692d8890e56f9b08a36a4f4a47d92.jpg

Back to where we started at Kinder Farm Park, where they still had plenty of munchies left over 105510701e8d85121c691c4dd327df74.jpg
