Cool! I plan to be there. What time were you thinking of getting to Founder’s Park? Also, I recommend bringing binoculars if you have them. The boats were pretty far away the last time I went.

I was thinking 4ish arrival, check out the festivities, find a viewing spot at the park by 5, and a quick bite after before riding home. Any recommendations?

That works. I think most restaurants by the waterfront area will be pretty crowded, but Caphe Banh Mi is always delicious. Some good alternatives in Old Town North might be Yunnan by Potomac or St. Elmo’s Cafe. In Carlyle, Sweet Fire Donna’s and Tequila & Taco both have heated patios, if you’d prefer to eat outdoors. And there’s always Hops & Shine in north Del Ray.
