In other words, they will be ticketing pedestrians and cyclists on Tue., March 24, during the morning rush hour and at midday. They will be operating at intersections in Rosslyn and Court House and on Columbia Pike. The press release only mentions that police will be ticketing motorists for traffic law violations and failure to yield to pedestrians at crosswalks, and ticketing pedestrians for jaywalking. There is no mention of ticketing cyclists, but I wouldn’t rely on that. If you will be riding through those areas tomorrow, be extra careful to dot every “I” and cross every “T” in terms of traffic laws. Even a minor slip-up tomorrow could result in a citation.

Police will also hand out safety brochures.
