Second hand observation, but yes it sounded like both the pedestrian and cyclist ended up at the ER

    What time?

I went through, I dont know, just before 7 pm. There was a jogging group that was simply FLOODING the Custis in that section. WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE. They were three wide and all over the place. It creates a very dangerous situation where one person takes one wrong step, or there is too much cross traffic, and a collision is inevitable.

Flooding these trails to excessive capacity spells for DOOM.

Agreed, Last night was super-interval night.

I went thru there at about 7, and it wasn’t very crowded (I did see rcannon just past/before Quinn), but then again I was going clockwise.

W&OD from Columbia Pike to Van Buren was more crowded than the Custis.

I almost crashed nearby last night before this. I was going westbound just after the overpass for the Glebe exit ramp when an idiot cyclist going east decided to pass a jogger on the blind curve there. Idiots.

I went through around 7:30. My impression is that the accident just happened. There was a rather large group of runners there standing around. They must have closed the trailed soon afterwards because I stopped getting passed for awhile.
