Not on the accident, but I’m somewhat familiar with that intersection. It’s stoplight-controlled, so I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s the fault of the person who “rode into the path” of the other vehicle; it’s the fault of whoever didn’t have the light in their favor, which they probably didn’t know at the time the short article was posted. There’s enough traffic in that area that there would almost certainly have been multiple witnesses at 9pm, so there’s a good chance the police can sort that out. The article is probably not entirely accurate anyway as it states the cyclist was riding west on MD5; MD5 is a north-south road, and high-speed high-volume, I have never seen someone on a bicycle in that area, so I expect the cyclist was actually heading west on the cross-road and crossing MD-5.
