Accident at Lynn St and Lee Highway Intersection of Doom, Wednesday, August 29?

Police cars have finally left the scene.

Car was still there when I went through at about 9am. I decided to cross Key bridge in traffic – it turned out OK, traffic was moving slow and was actually easier than dodging pedestrians on the sidewalk.

Gotta love that, they’re willing to almost totally block the sidewalk while the right lane was also blocked at about the same point! 😡

I went through there at about 8:15ish and saw the immediate aftermath of the accident. From what I could tell, the small grey coupe was trying to turn right onto Lynn Street but got t-boned by a crane truck, yes a multi-ton crane truck. I can only imagine that the impact was sub-20mph or so, otherwise that little car would have disintegrated. Yet another reason to rework this intersection.
