The Claritin-D helped. I took a 24-hr pill last night. The rain helped too, by clearing out a lot of the pollen.

Today would be an AWESOME day to eat outside. Alas, I’m now in audit hell so no escaping during the work day until at least the week after next. I’ll try to organize something then but if anyone wants to take the lead for next week be by guest!

Regarding pollen getting in your eyes, which is especially problematic for those of us who wear contact lenses. I mentioned this problem to a couple of guys in a bike shop a couple of years ago. It turns out both of them were ex-military and had been in Iraq. They used Wiley sunglasses to keep sand and other debris out of their eyes. I bought a pair and they do a good job, although they are a bit pricey. Here’s a link:

Friday is looking lovely — mid 70s, a light breeze (from the NW of course), party cloudy and boss on travel. Sounds like a perfect picnic day to me. 12:15pm at the Smithsonian CABI station on the Mall again?

I’ll be there. Anyone care to join me?

If my schedule allows, I’d love to pop over and join you and meet some fellow forum members in the flesh. My wife is trying to organize a lunch date in the city so she, cyclingfool jr., and I can get together with a friend who’s moving out of town soon, and it may end up that Friday is the day for that. If it’s not and nothing comes up workwise, count me in. :D

Why is it you always pick a day I have to attend a meeting with our Deputy Director? :(

I’ll plan to join you, barring any unexpected meetings. Thanks, Cyndi – great idea!

Now if I’m able to make it, I’ll have met at least one person before! :)
