If people start buying Bar Mitts and winter bike shoes, the temperatures are sure to warm up.

Part of me wonders if #BAFS is to blame. Two years of competition, two years of sh#%ty winters….

I already bought the Bar Mitts and clothes so warm I never got remotely cold even on those <10° days. But the snow and ice were still a problem. Perhaps if I bought studded tires, too, we'd start getting better winters?

As I recall, we didn’t have a single snowfall with results last winter.

Or the previous 2011-2012 winter. I was celebrating not having had to blow or shovel snow two winters in a row……..then this winter more than made up for it.

We may hit 70°F on Saturday afternoon after enjoying some blueberry soup.

It won’t last though. We’ll see high temperatures only in the 40s, at least in the first half of next week.

A chance of snow on Tuesday night, but the weather observers don’t agree on the forecast yet. It seems that there will be a significant storm but it could head out to sea and miss the DC area. Or it could move in and bring yet more snow.

Yeah, I’m not taking the studded tires off the beater yet.

Given the melting rates we had last time I’m hoping any snow will be doable on standard CXish tires.

Great idea. I work close to Union Station. Hope I can make it when the day comes.

If this happens to occur on my every-other-friday-off day, I will join you.
