ParticipantLove it, thanks for posting. Makes me want to quit my job and become a bike messenger.

ParticipantLife is better on a bike. Thanks for posting that. Where did you find it?

Sure are. I see them every day.
When I worked near McPherson Square many years ago, I almost got run over several times by bike messengers speeding at close to 20 mph on crowded sidewalks during weekday lunch hours. While I don’t work over there any more, it’s been a while since I’ve seen any messengers. Fortunately I haven’t had any close calls in several years either.

Great video – thanks for posting!
There are, here are a couple of links to local courier services. I looked at them a couple of years ago for income while I considered a career change.

ParticipantI have to add to this thread. I’ve been watching a lot of cycling videos on my Roku and these are some of my favorites. All are beautifully photographed and inspirational (that is, within the extent of my biking abilities). Great viewing for those moments when you’re feeling just a tad lazy.

ParticipantCool video! Somehow it reminds me of extreme skiing films.

ParticipantDanny Macaskill’s “Industrial Revolutions” is one of my favorite bike videos. I’ll admit that I can’t do most of those tricks, but it’s neat to watch:

ParticipantEven asleep I couldn’t have dreamed up these moves. All I can think of is “ouch!”.
Here’s a video showing gymnastics being performed on fixies. It’s from the cheesy movie Quicksilver starring Kevin Bacon but the moves are still cool. Too bad there isn’t a “bike tricks” festival on the Mall; would probably get a lot of the teenagers interested in biking.

ParticipantAwesome thread. Here is one I’ve enjoyed….

ParticipantThe forum deleted 3 of the 4 videos that I originally posted. Apparently I didn’t pass the Turing test.
Here’s one:

ParticipantIs it a good or bad thing that I’ve already watched most of these videos before?
Now they’re all collected in one convenient thread.November 28, 2011 at 2:47 pm #933015PotomacCyclist
ParticipantHere’s another candidate for cheesiest bike video, from a 1980s movie “RAD” featuring a couple doing bike tricks at a high school dance. (Fast-forward to the 1:14 mark for the “music video” segment.):

And a cheesy TV commercial featuring a young Keanu Reeves as a road cyclist:
