Little about myself… I’m a single parent living and working in silver spring MD. My daughter Kaylee AKA team spade’s mascot has been very supportive helping me achieve my long distance cycling goals (!whatever they are!).
You should bring her to Sunday’s Kidical Mass Arlington ride. Of course, you should drive there, and only ride the ride, then drive home.

Speaking of somebody else, we now have our tenth player—Msalemme—and are now a mere 58 points away from retaking the lead!
Cool factoid: 70% of cyclists on our team are female, compared to 24% nationwide.
Welcome to the team Mary!

That sounds fun, kid friendly? She ride pretty well and stays nice and straight. Riding on a 700c now days’ so she can keep up alot better. Thought about doing DC kidical but I wasn’t really comfortable with the city riding.
Can’t do this Sunday, bit ill keep an eye on it for the future

The rides are designed for parents with kids on their bikes and kids (new to riding) on their own bikes. Kids who have been riding for a while get a little bored, but usually treats/play at the beginning/end make it worth it. Our rides are 3-5 miles, super flat, super safe. KM DC is similar, so I wouldn’t worry about the city riding aspect (though I think parking is usually easier at the Arlington rides).

ParticipantWith two commutes, I’ve managed to get half my point total from last year. Gonna have to pace myself to keep the bar low.
