It was damn nice out there! Particularly liked the 20mph gusting winds with icy snow.

Ball-rockingly bad bike day. On the other hand no wipeouts on the W und OD! Slushtastic downtown.

    W&OD was definitely slushy

I didn’t see any snow in D.C. or Arlington today, except for some snowflakes that melted upon reaching the ground. It was mostly rain, from what I saw. I heard that there was more snow out in western Fairfax and especially out toward Leesburg and West Virginia.

In Westover, we had about an inch accumulate on the grass and the car at one point, but nothing stuck to the flagstone path in our yard, which looked kinda funny.

we got a solid 5 inches out here in Fairfax, enough to build some nice snowmen and snowforts. The nice part is that the roads should be mostly clear tomorrow morning.

We had maybe 2 inches, but it only accumulated on certain surfaces. The roads never got more than half an inch which was during the peak of the snow, and it melted away fast.

Managed a small snowman and had some fun times until a bit of snowball shrapnel hit my daughter in the face and she started bawling. What a wimp! :D

That’s how every snowball fight ends. Right? At least that’s how every single one I participated in as a kid ended. Whether with friends or family, someone always got smashed in the face and someone always cried, pretty much ending the event.

That includes a July snowball fight with my family driving over some mountain pass in the Rockies when we found a patch of leftover snow to play in.
