It had better snow–I didn’t ride the bike today specifically to transport items needed for working from home tomorrow

Lovely commute in today. Just a little slush on the Custis. Had the mountain bike with studs although that was overkill for early conditions. I can’t find any of my coworkers around the office.

Yeah, I ran the touring bike with my Marathon Winters and for most of the commute was thinking I should have just run the road bike instead. But the snow hit about a mile from the office and now its really coming down.

Wet and windy ride to Capitol Hill this morning, but not too bad. Only saw one other bike commuter.

Working from home. Think I’ll go for a ride at lunch if it hasn’t gotten too snowy by then :)

Me too–although daycare was open so I’ve got a wet ride in this morning. Large snowflakes sting the eyes!

I saw two cyclists on the MVT wearing ski goggles earlier this week. Could be just what you need.

I think that any type of glasses would have worked just fine! The brim on my helmet was moderately helpful at least.

Put the studs on last night, and was a bit disappointed that the office is closed today. But not that disappointed, since I can still go for a ride.

Liz – do you have studded tires on that bike? If so, which ones?

Not this morning. It was just a brief ride through slush so I used the regular mountain bike tires. But I do have a set of Kenda Klondike that fit that bike. If I suspect ice may be on the trail when I return to work (tomorrow? Friday?), I will mount those.

Need a kayak out there right now, the sidewalks are underwater!

I don’t think we will get ice. Temps are supposed to remain above freezing.
