4 Mile Run Cleanup Gone Wrong

Unfortunately 4MR has a long history of companies dumping crap into the stream. On a regular basis ArlCo issues advisories not to come in contact with the stream because of a spill. And unfortunately dog owners ignore the advisories and swim their dogs at shirlington, and others upstream on 4MR like in Glen Carlyn use the stream as a water park for swimming.

This is why I don’t take my dog to the dog park there. I’ve read about the bacterial load in that water in the summer :p

Argh! People need to stop washing 4MR. It doesn’t make it smell any better.
