We’re two weeks away. Time for a roll call. …..

I’ll be there, hopefully for 10:00am start. I’ll do enough laps to get me 104 miles for the day, riding in from Manassas. That should be 6-7 laps I think.

As of bedtime, I’ve convinced our daughter to let us swing by for a few short laps for the Kidical rollout to “get some free stuff” before we finish our Christmas shopping. She loves free stuff, but is not a big fan of HP. Fingers crossed she doesn’t change her mind an odd number of times (she’s 6 – she’ll definitely change her mind at least once; it’s a question of where she settles.)

And…she woke up with a fever so no go. *Sigh*. Have fun y’all.

    Good seeing lots of y’all!

So who actually did 100 miles today? How about 100 miles just at Hains Point? What is that, 33 laps?

I managed 3 before I got dizzy. Mad props to Judd for being able to do 300 laps in one sitting without getting nauseous ;)

Great to see so many of you there. And it’s awesome that the event raised more than $10K for a great program at a great organization.

That was the longest ride I’ve done since Freezing Saddles 2017 ended and my legs hate me now.

That was my first HP 100 and it was a wonderful event.

Thanks for all the organizers and volunteers!

I would really like to again thank Megabeth and everyone else who had a role in organizing, the volunteers, and the sponsors. This was a great event. I had hardly ridden the HP loop before, and this was a great intro into why it can be a fun place to ride. It was of course particularly fun having so many people riding it together, and it was great riding with friends (and knowing that even if they passed me, I would shortly be riding with them again ;) ) Glad so much money was raised for a great cause within the biking community. Bonuses for me, were that A. POTM got to have really nice time riding, and seems to have gotten the bug. B. I got to try two different Ebikes – Jump bikes (Class 1, IIUC) and a Class 3 Specialized Ebike. I feel this gave me a bit more insight into how they work and what they can do (though I really need to try them out someplace with hills, and traffic) though for now I will refrain from adding to the ebike thread.

What a great event for a good cause! This was my first time a the HP100 and I was quite impressed by the turnout from riders and sponsors. It was good to see so many of you out there. I’m also grateful to Java Cruiser and Teaism for the steady supply of hot caffeine.
