It is that time of year again! The last local cyclocross race of the season (and the biggest party!) is coming up in less than a month!

    Here is the BikeReg page:
    https://www.bikereg.com/bikeneticx

Even if you do not come out and race (which you should, it will be a blast!), definitely come out and spectate. There will be a couple of food trucks, lots of chances to heckle racers, free beer (donation to MORE suggested), a pirate ship, and tons of fun!

This will be your last chance to try out cross racing all year!

This is how I’m going to start bike commuting.

Agreed! It was totally fun. And hard. This was my first ever bike race of any kind, and I blame Sunyata for that.

Actually riding on top of the bike is saved for the rare flat spots.

Is that what they call Cross Fit?

Super bummed I only got one fly by of you racing this weekend.

Since Steve O is too modest (wait… what?) to talk about his stellar racing debut, I will do it for him!

In his first EVER race, on a borrowed bike (though, a really awesome bike, if I do say so myself), on a snowy, muddy, and super slick course that was by no means easy when it was dry, Steve O came in 14th (out of 38) in the Cat 5 race. He beat two Bikenetic teammates and absolutely CRUSHED it with a huge smile on his face.

He now needs a cross bike for next season!

And just when you thought BikenetiCX was it, how about a trip to Germany in mid-January (Cyndi!) for the Radcross-Bensheim? It’s on the MLK weekend.

There’s a Frankfurt Strava club ride down there on Sunday, January 14, only 79 miles round trip.

Oooh! If only I could afford the time off!

But… I now know the German words for finish, barriers, sand pit, and regular pit!
