    For those not doing the Air Force Classic Challenge Ride, consider a Sunday morning ride in Baltimore. I rode it last year, a good way to see parts of the city, but it is not on closed roads.

    The 14th annual bike ride through Baltimore’s parks and neighborhoods offers a close-up view of regional parks like Carroll, Patterson, Clifton and Druid Hill, as well as some quietly tucked away gems. All rides start and end in Druid Hill Park.

    Proceeds support Baltimore’s parks, as well as environmental, “friends of parks”, and cycling groups. Tour dem Parks, Hon! is fully supported with rest stops and ends with a jazz barbecue.”

    Ooo neat! I haven’t ridden out in Baltimore yet. Has anyone done this one in the past?

    I did the ride with consularrider and some other friends last year. Some of the trails are in really sad shape and many are just glorified sidewalks but it was a fun ride and gives a neat view of Balmer, hon!

    Email from Tour dem Parks reminding that the cost goes up on Saturday, April 2 (no joke, hon).

    “Our deepest discount only lasts until April 1st. Save $17 by registering early!

    This year’s ride is $55 for adults and $20 for youth 15 and under. For those who register between now and midnight March 31st, adults ride for $38 (save $17) and youth for $20.

    Free lunch for all who register.
    Free t-shirt for all who register before June 1st.

    Tour dem Parks, Hon! is Sunday, June 12th, 2016. This annual bike ride through Baltimore’s parks and neighborhoods offers a close-up view of regional parks like Carroll, Patterson, Clifton and Druid Hill, as well as some quietly tucked away gems. Participants choose from 4 routes: 12 miles (on the newest section of the Jones Falls Trail), 25 miles, 36 miles, or the all new, even shorter, Mostly Flat Meander, which stays inside Druid Hill Park and is a good option for those with small children, either in a trailer or on their own bikes. All rides start and end in Druid Hill Park.
