I think Kathy is catching, of course it is Tuesday the 22, but I can’t change the title. Sigh.

This pretty much ensures I’ll have to drive somewhere on the 22nd, even though the car has sat in front of the house since last Wednesday, like it usually does.

I had to chuckle when they announced the date. A workday? Of course I’ll be Car Free. A workday in September? Of course I’ll be on bike! :p

The real questions is where to get my free coffee?
    Crystal City?
    Ballston?
    Rosslyn?

Was planning to bike commute tomorrow through Thursday anyway, but what the hey, a number of those prizes would be useful to me.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Okay, I signed up for Car-Free Day. It will be a sacrifice but I think I can manage…

Seriously, though, I am still waiting for an event that offers me free coffee and prizes for driving my car. That’s when I could really use them.

Every time it’s my turn to drive the carpool on 66 and the beltway I am overwhelmed with gratitude for my bicycle and for our community.

    We are so fortunate.

‘Twas awesome. Stuff like this is great and it seems like with a little effort they could pump this up as the fall equivalent to BTWD. Big thanks to CCBID for the excellent coffee and bagels.

I saw precisely zero other cyclists on my way to work and received neither coffee nor bagels. Curse my road-only suburban bike commute!!

I swung through Crystal City as they were walking their undistributed fruit back to the office and Joe was gracious enough to give me a banana for the road. As I wear tee shirts for the commute I elected to use the handy leg pocket feature of lycra shorts.
