They’re still there.

ParticipantI reported it.
FYI–anyone can send in reports of trail issues into the Parks department: trails@arlingtonva.us

ParticipantNE Branch trail flooded again this morning, at the rail bridge in Hyattsville. Detour is OK — Decatur (bike lane) to Alt Route 1 (traffic, but wide lanes). Also heard that the Paint Branch trail was flooded at the CSX/Metro bridge in College Park by Lake Artemesia.

Tree down this evening across the Custis, just after the bridge at the top of the s-curve.
They removed that tree, which is near Lyon Village, about 2 miles from Rosslyn.

I sent an email about the CC Connector Trail tree down this AM, though I assume someone in officialdom already knew about it since it had been marked with a bit of orange warning tape and a traffic cone by the time I rolled through at 9 AM or so.

Awesome. In addition to Tim’s report, I also called it in to Arlington Parks around 10:40am or so after seeing a guy take a slow tumble after skidding to a halt just short of the tree.
I tried moving it myself, but it was wedged in pretty good…and I’m not allowed to break any more bones.

It was still there around 5:30 yesterday evening. No report from this morning since I took the Custis in.

Still there when I rolled through about 8:30 am this morning. Nice morning to ride the longer way.

Still there when I went through around 9:15. There were three traffic cones there this morning instead of just the one I remember seeing yesterday, so somebody paid a visit.

Ugh. Maybe someone could call it in *again* and explain that this is an important connection that should be maintained.

ParticipantWatch out for the sand that is piled up under N Carlin Springs Rd on the WOD (on the west side of the bridge). It’s dry and loose and you could lose traction fast if it takes you by surprise. The problem is that it is directly in the line of traffic.

And I believe there are (or were) three separate patches. The big one is almost in the middle of the trail.
