My first real road bike was a Bianchi that I bought back in the mid-80’s…I loved that bike, and to date, that bike probably fit me better than any bike I’ve ever owned. I forget the model…I wish I had some spare change so I could talk to you about your Volpe.

I think $650 is probably a better starting point. Make me an offer!

Man, if I didn’t have to explain it to the wife afterwards…

We’d all be broke, and eating top ramen for the rest of our lives.

P.s., sweet bike, unfortunately a tad small

I’m glad and disappointed that I’m at s-1 now.

If our friendship means that much to you, you could always buy me a San Jose frameset :D

And although it won’t assuage your grief, the Bianchi will be replaced by another Italian…

Sweet! Another Pinarello Dogma on the road?

Ah, it’s still the closest thing I have to a dream bike (I’d get the disc version though, and yeah probably stick with a Shimano groupset too). I say “closest thing” because I always have multiple bikes I’m interested in, and even I owned one I’d still have a list.

Doesn’t help that Lars Boom rode his to victory in Stage 5. I’m usually pretty skeptical of bike manufacturer marketing but for some reason all the countervail stuff leaves me wanting to ride one.
