19th Street Tuesday

Accident yesterday on 19th around Dupont Circle. Anyone know anything of this?

Seems the cyclist (a CaBi rider) swerved to avoid being doored, and was subsequently hit. Taken to hospital.

Anyone know how the rider is doing?

DCist makes it sound much worse, although I can understand the urgency with a possible head injury.

It may be the most serious accident so far, but I don’t think it’s the first serious accident. There have been a couple (like, literally one or two) other pretty bad ones, IIRC.
