14th St Bridge-Jefferson Memorial trail improvement

Many people already know that the trail along the 14th St Bridge (actually George Mason bridge) is scheduled to be widened and improved. I’ve noticed a series of orange traffic cones this week. It’s possible that this is the prep stage for the project. Or wishful thinking on my part.
The cones have been placed between the road and the trail. I haven’t seen any diagrams of the widened path, or a timetable for the project. Is there a project website? Or is this too small of a project to merit a website?
I’m looking forward to the new and improved path. But I hope that the trail will remain open and safe during the construction period.
