Dear Storm Riders,
We had a great team ride this Sunday, well attended by our teammates, (Monica, Adelaide, Leslie, and me). We rode on Metro Silver line past Dulles to Ashburn station and let that strong NW wind blow us all the way back to East Falls Church on the W&OD! I call it bicycle windsurfing! It was a very fast and sunny ride that was all the more enjoyable, because we were sailing along with a 20-30 mph tailwind!
Upcoming team rides are in the works and include lots of possibilities.
- Round trip 25-mile ride from Georgetown, via MacArthur Blvd, to Old Angler’s Inn at Great Falls with picnic before the return
- Capital Crescent to the Bethesda Trolley Trail and North Bethesda for lunch (and return)
- Mt Vernon Round Trip
- GPS Art Rides: Here are a few examples of the many routes I have created, that we could ride together as a team. Here’s how our ride will look when posted on Strava:
- A ride that crosses all the river bridges from Chain Bridge to the Woodrow Wilson Bridge
