Looking at the design renderings, it seemed like a somewhat sharp angle on the eastern end of the bridge. A modest curve in the middle of the bridge could ease out that angle, but it would make for a more difficult (and expensive) bridge design.

Slide 5 of the PDF shows the bridge and the awkward angle.

Of course not. Looks like it’s being done to avoid moving (or narrowing) an access road, ever-so-slightly, inside the poop plant.
