The board is rounding to whole numbers but the math is based on your exact mileage so these folks did 3.x miles for various x.

But that shouldn’t account for a spread of 5 points, only at most 2 points for rounding up from 2.5+ or down from 3.5-.

This is just my guess (since I didn’t do the programming).

    3 miles = 37. 4 miles = 44

In addition to the rounding of the miles, you also are including the add’l bonus per extra mile based on the fraction of miles.

Under 9.9999999999999 miles, yep. Apparently. Ride 10+ and it’s not an issue? I’m just guessing here.

Must be the secret handicap that factors in time of day, temperture, wind speed, wind direction, vertical feet, partcipitation type, gear ratio used, tire pressure, etc. So much metadata that can be collected and analyzed, why not put them to good use?
