Pandemic inspired registrations?

I thought that with the pandemic–and consequent diminution of possibilities for social activity in Freezing Saddles–we’d have fewer participants this year than last. It seems I was wrong. Last year, by the end of the day on December 11, we had 149 registrations. This year, it is 178.
Registration will remain open through December 24. So we’ve still got time for even more people to register.

I think that biking is a natural social distanced activity that a lot of people turned to when most of their social interactions had to be put on hold. I know my mileage went up with COVID for 2 reasons…I was working from home giving me time to do more riding vs preparing to work in the office (ie changing clothes
) and two exploring road routes instead of cycling routes made for longer rides.
