Forum members,
Arlington Parks is proposing the following MOTs/Detours for work on the Bluemont Connector.
Please sent comment BY JULY 3.
[begin shared text from Arl DPR below)
We’d like to share the draft maintenance of traffic (MOT) plan so that you are aware of the suggested detours that we’re anticipating to take place during the construction period, and share your feedback to help us ensure the MOT works well for cyclists and pedestrians.
Right now, construction is planned to take five days during mid-August, 2020. As you can see by the attached maps, we have a different draft MOT for the three phases of construction that will take place. All construction will happen between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on each day, allowing bicyclists and pedestrians to use the trail as they normally would outside of those hours.
We plan on communicating the finalized MOT plan and detours to the broader community starting at the end of July, but wanted to see if you or other members of the Bike and Walk Arlington have any feedback on the draft MOT as it stands today. Juan Du (jdu@arlingtonva.us), the project manager CC’d in this email, would like to use any thoughts you provide to help inform the final draft.
