God, I miss *Car Talk* too!

Start here, at https://www.arlingtonmedia.org/. Arlington Independent Media teaches and hosts both community TV and WERA-LP 96.7FM. Jackie Steven is a friend of the cycling community, and can facilitate and point you in the right direction. And perhaps find students and interns waiting for a project to jump on!

As a former lover, subscriber, and devotee to both of these columns, I truly miss a column/online question radio show where someone can ask a question and it is responded to in the utmost professional and considerate way either in an old school syndicated column or via radio/tik tok video/podcast. Anyone else feel this void too? I am interested in starting up a digital space for this where we could have a panel of various velo subject matter experts respond to these types of questions in a broad, accessible format with a 24 hour turn around period, maybe 48 with editing and gaffing? Know of such a thing? How it is funded? How it is organized? How is it sponsored? Website hosting tech stuff? During this 8-week telework and renewed interest in biking period, seeing that this could be a viable way to build community and personalize the capacity of the forum???

This sounds like a fun idea and Mrs. Lumberjack and I kicked around an advice column a bit. GCN does a bit of question answering on their weekly GCN show that is sometimes lighthearted. They also do a segment called hack or bodge where they judge pictures of bike modifications sent by viewers.

I’d say get a decent microphone and grab some questions from the forum or Women and Bikes and do a few practice runs to see if it’s feasible.

And remember, don’t bike like HF.

I was just going to say “I built a quick website for a podcast that the kids did a while back” but then I see the site is offline so I can’t show it to you. I don’t have a ton of time to help but would be willing to pitch in some website help if you want. I can also give advice on how to get kids to bike to breweries in crummy weather.
