ParticipantIt should come as no surprise to all who know him, but Rick D, aka drevil, has made all of the Lucky Iceholes of Team 13 a little luckier this year. He’s been a constant positive force in our FB group, he makes stickers and he has good hair. He also notified us about our chance to pull in the biggest, most coveted pointless prize of all, the ‘Meh’ award — which we will undoubtedly be taking home, despite the best efforts of every other team to capture this one — give up now all. Ricky is Team 13’s Luckiest Icehole, Chief Meh Officer and MVP.

ParticipantTeam Cold Turkey’s most valuable player is Patricia Lindemann. This is her first year of riding in the winter, and, once she got the sheer joy of it, she committed to riding EVERY day, even while traveling in Belgium! She has been a voice of enthusiasm and has shown up to all team events. She bursts with pride when she talks about her beloved e-bike. A real keeper.

ParticipantThe Bollard Busters Most Valuable Player is Pablo Villegas.
Pablo is a new FS player, whom I had not met before. In addition to riding a lot of miles and just one day off from an Every Day rider, he has become a friendly and regular part of the NoVA Forum community, attending coffee clubs, social rides, team happy hour, drevil’s MTB ride and more. I believe (he can confirm) that joining FS also inspired him to bike commute to his job out in Tyson’s much more regularly.
On top of all that, he’s a really nice guy!!Congratulations to Pablo!!!

As we approach the end of this year’s Semi-Freezing Saddles, I’d like to invite all team captains to name a team most valuable player. This doesn’t have to be the highest point-scorer on your team, though it could be. It could be the person who organizes the most team events, or is always there to give kudos or other encouragement, or meets you at midnight to get in a quick sleaze ride because you’re flying somewhere tomorrow where bikes are illegal.
As captain of Team 14, I’ll start. Our team MVP is Chuck Pineapple Emoji. Chuck is likely to finish third in points on our team, but first in yelling at us on Strava to get out and ride, and first in organizing and leading team rides. His enthusiasm is contagious, and he’s made the competition better for our whole team.
Jon – You are too kind. Thank you!

ParticipantTeam 7: Timmy D and Carl Henn
Timmy cranked out some major miles and Carl literally saved my ass. Thank you both! -
