I’ve tried #tagging on Instagram and posting through Strava but don’t see any on there.
Sorry if this has been asked/answered elsewhere but searching the forum for “photos” returned too many results and I couldn’t find any instructions.
Thanks!
Nigel
I don’t know how the code works, but when I post one picture to my ride right away in Strava, and have photos set as the default display for my rides in Strava feeds, the picture appears on the Freezing Saddles photo page.

You don’t even have to post the pic right away. I went back to one of my rides on Strava from 24 hours ago and added a picture. When I refreshed the FS page, the picture showed. I assume it’s chronological for the ride because the pic was somewhere in the middle.

ParticipantPretty sure there’s some sort of issue with the coding. My photos aren’t showing up either (and my default display in Strava is photos). I’ve alerted Richard and I know the tech team is aware.

I suspect this may be DrBullet’s issue. If he’s uploading the rides or adding photos to them some time after they occur, the photo may be rather far down in the FS page.

ParticipantMine show up without any tagging, but it’s usually only one per ride, and not necessarily the default (1st) Strava photo.

ParticipantIt seems that there are some inconsistencies. I tend to add photos afterwards because my ride syncs directly through my phone so is posted on Strava before I can add anything. Any chance that it’s an iPhone vs Android thing (I’m on Android)?
Thanks again,Nigel

ParticipantI tend to add my photos later, too, although sometimes it’s within minutes of posting the ride.
I have scrolled through all the photos, and so far not a one of my photos has appeared on the photos page. Five of my Strava rides since Jan 1 have included photos.January 9, 2020 at 10:07 pm #1102704January 9, 2020 at 10:17 pm #1102705sszibler
ParticipantSo there’s a general picture page somewhere in the bowels of the Freezing Saddles Matrix where my pictures from strava are supposedly going?
I’ve been having a few problems on my iPhone that I’ve been able to find ways to work around, but they work inconsistently and don’t make sense. I’m not a programmer for one thing.
1. I tried changing the settings in my profile, which was my first “mistake”.
A. I tried WYSIWYG. That resulted in not being able to “like” posts, an essential part of Calvin Ball.
1. I tried going back to basic and standard, but now I’m having trouble posting pictures. Does anyone know what the default setting is for our forum? Basic or standard? The pictures will now only upload through a separate “attachment” page which seems buggy. For instance:
a. My pictures are consistently posting UPSIDE DOWN. If I repost a few times I’ll eventually get one to post right side up without editing. It’s time-consuming and annoying. I guess the idea of an attachment page is to save your pictures to use later, but I think I’d rather go back to just being able to post them one at a time without that page. I’m not sure. The upside down thing is especially weird and hard to correct since it has no consistency. Could it be when my phone takes a picture at a certain angle? If so, it’s not showing that way in my phone or on Strava. Maybe iPhone corrects it and they understand, but FS does not?
b. I’ll just stop here because I can’t keep track of my own outline . . .
OH, one more thing. Is the comment under your name i.e. regular member, cute member, new member, elite member, etc., randomly generated or is there a god-like OZ controlling those at some level? According to subject? Overall? More to the point, is there just a better way to win freezing saddles than riding and who do I see with my army of sunglass-wearing heroes?

…They’re referring to this page. You being a programmer or not has nothing to do with the problems you’re experiencing. Firstly, it’d be beneficial for you to stop conflating the Freezing Saddles web app with your problems here on the forums. I’d hazard a guess that WYSIWYG mode is only for entering/formatting text, considering that it stands for “what you see is what you get”. I’m not sure how that’d tie in to being able to like or dislike posts, but I could be wrong. TBH I don’t think I’ve ever seen reference to any of these modes (WYSIWYG, basic, or standard) in the desktop web UI, so I can’t help you there. Re: the classification under your username, I’m pretty sure that’s based solely on the number of posts you have.
I have nothing to contribute to the topic at hand
