FS2020 and Strava’s January climbing challenge both start tomorrow, so…let’s go kill some hillz!!!

WHEN: Wednesday, Jan 1st, assemble @ 9:45am, wheels roll at 10am.

WHERE: Cafe Kindred, 450 N S Washington St Ste F, Falls Church, VA 22046
Ample parking in the garage below the building for anyone who wants to sleep over the night before… and they open at 7am on NY day, FYI.

We should be done by 12noon-ish so you can enjoy NY day feast with family and/or friends. Now is the time to cement those bounds as you will be out riding your bike the rest of FS2020 season and they won’t see you much.

See here for approximate ride details (additional hillz may be added or subtracted depending upon the state of soberness of those who show up).

This is about a 20 mile loop, ~2000 ft elevation gain, with multiple options to either bail out on either the Custis or WOD trails.

No drop rule in effect (which means that I will wait for you at the tops of — and not bottoms — of the hills).

Open invitation to any and all, Freezing Saddles or not.

Hit “like” or “reply” so that I know to look for you.

Hey Boomer, love it, except… too many hills too early for me. I must pass (Besides, I must feed my wife and make my cat her coffee). But interested in whatever ride you do next!

Here is the Strava link to the approximate route (~30 miles), but I will shorten it for today as my legs are shot from completing the Rapha Festive500.

Ride on (no matter how meekly;-),

The ride as it actually happened, as @BikingJen and @SteveO added in their own favorite hillz…

The coffee club crew that showed up in my driveway, 5 hours late for the Hillz ride, after #beerneuring, to wish me and my son a happy new year. This is why I love [emoji3590] Freezing Saddles!!!
