    Greetings fellow teammates! It was nice to meet a few of you tonight, but as usual, not many people show up for the Happy hour. It must be tough to have a life. I don’t, that’s why I like to ride my bike.

    This is my third year for FS, and last year I was a lame captain. That’s why I’ve let Dave become our official captain. I’m good for 160-170 pts per week. If we get a lot of snow or rain, I will most likely go somewhere else so that I can enjoy a nice ride on the bike.

    Hopefully we can do some type of group ride, but since I’m out in the boonies of MD, it may be a bit hard for me.

    Hi Team 16 BASF2019 SLEET 16s,

    Welcome teammates! Once you find this Forum Thread, subscribe via the forum, for easy repeat access.
    This Forum Thread will be our primary communication mode.

    First order of business: Join our Strava Cub.
    Everyone has either already joined our Strava Club https://www.strava.com/clubs/sleet16s or has been invited to join (go ahead and join when you get the email). Each team member must belong to the club to have his/her miles count. It’s closed membership, so request to join and I will accept your request.

    Our team strategy is simple and effective:
    1. Try and ride every day, at least one or two miles (more if possible)
    2. Be safe and have fun
    3. Enjoy competing for the many pointless prizes

    I look forward to meeting everyone on our team and invite you to participate in morning coffee rides, happy hours, group rides, etc.
    Suggestions and ideas are welcome from everyone. Remember this thread is a (public) forum, so other teams can read what we write.
    For team strategies that we may not wish to reveal, we can use email addresses found our Sleet 16s Strava club.

    About our team status:

    Our team status is understated because a couple of our team members (who correctly joined our club) are not showing up on the team leader-board, so their miles are not showing. I notified Chuck Penna.

    Meanwhile everyone should check for their names and miles on https://freezingsaddles.org/leaderboard/individual_text. If your name or miles are missing here you’ll need to fix that.

    Another teammate, Andy Greenwood, is not showing up anywhere. Anyone know Andy? I emailed him to let him know he has until Friday to complete signup.

    In other words, if you see yourself on the Friends of BAFS board click on the link above and select the bottom option. I guess it’s because this club is private, and you need to change your authorization. In fact, if in doubt, click on the above link and do that.

    Oh, and please feel free to introduce yourself on this post. It would be sort of nice to know something about our fellow teammates. So far we’re at a whopping 30% of members on here!

    Afternoon! I requested to join the group and I was on the leader board but am
    Not showing up now. I just reauthorized per this link.

    Any ideas?

    Hang in there. You still don’t show up in the group. David probably hasn’t gotten a chance to accept you yet. That’s one of the drawbacks of a private club.

    Just lurking here but Strava is down today FYI. That’s probably why folks aren’t showing up right now.
