This is the thread to post your Strava Art Pointless Prize entries. Post an image of your Strava ride here, along with a link to the Strava entry.

Winner is the best single entry submitted by March 10 (yes, before the end of Freezing Saddles), based on artistic merit, complexity, seasonal appropriateness, and the whims of yours truly.

For inspiration, here are the entries from 2018, 2017, and 2016.

Collaboration is encouraged! For those who are curious about Strava art but don’t know where to begin, I will try to host one open-to-all Strava art ride during Freezing Saddles.

Very nice! I particularly like the dynamism of the design and the way you handled the feathers on the wings’ trailing edge.

I’m submitting this great cubist self portrait Bob made with his ride. It was very considerate of him to post the reference photo right next to it but I edited it for those who aren’t used to seeing things in cubist just in case

Nice! The ears were a great touch, and so was the mouth. I can definitely see this elephant smiling as he takes flight over Arlington. And thanks for posting the “map” and “real life” pics for contrast. It’s always fun to get some insight into the creative process.

I hereby submit this duck for consideration. Oddly, there seemed to be a bunch of other people riding essentially the same route as me. And at the same time. Weird.
Their “ducks,” though, have a big hole in the head, whereas mine has just a tiny gap.

Oh, and I totally, entirely made this duck up on my own. In fact, as I went along–not even in advance. Winging it, you might say. I’m amazing.

I’d like to ensure BikeDavid gets credit for his Strava Art this past weekend…despite being a bit cold I followed all of his directions and a piglet was born! 90f3e79d686f7455f211c3fd94ae706f.jpg9358f4547027d3a1df4c4dc4f7dd30a4.jpg

Bump. Don’t forget that the last day for submitting Strava art entries for this year’s contest is Sunday, March 10.
