Fairfax county removed Gabrielson Bridge three months ago because it was deemed unsafe. The bridge provided access to the CCT from the east. The Board of Supervisors spent $115,000 to remove the bridge. They made little effort to inform the public. The Fairfax County Trails and Sidewalks committee was not informed. No public meetings were held.
Local residents started this Facebook page to shed light on the issue. A meeting to discuss this issue will be held this upcoming Thursday, Dec 13 at the following address:
