    The final alignment shows the bridge running directly adjacent to the existing trail alignment. I don’t recall ever seeing an alignment that ran through Isaac Crossman. I don’t recall any documents showing an detour during bridge construction, but if one were needed Isaac Crossman Park looks like a potential candidate.

    There is currently construction going on in the Isaac Crossman park, but it is always dark when I go by, so I cannot tell what they are up to. It could be trail improvements that would allow for a bike detour during bridge construction. The existing crushed-stone trail has always been signed “No Bicycles”, and I don’t recall that there is even an ADA ramp from the trail to the street.

    As for bikes being allowed, seems to me that unless there’s a sign saying so, they are allowed. Anyone else know if I’m right or wrong?

    No, the detour is not going through the park, but on adjacent streets(See the last link on the page that Judd posted). Here is Isaac Crossman Park web page, and to the right you will find a link to Arlington County Park Rules & Regulations. The only two things related to bicycles is to only use designated surfaces and that no bikes allowed on Tennis courts surfaces. However, this Street View link shows “No biking” sign next to the park sign.

    Edited to add: It looks like the gravel path resides entirely in Falls Church side. Here is their park page.

    Yeah, I have seen a “no bikes” sign there as long as I can remember on that trail (at least on the eastern side, which is the only place I ride by the trail entrance). As to how official it looked, I guess I don’t know what the official country (or FC city) signs look like? But the no-bikes signage/rule isn’t surprising given how narrow that trail is. It would be great if they could extend the paved 4MR MUP through the park. Would make a nice connection to Falls Church City, but riding on the roads just south of there (e.g. Columbia) is easy — and I’ve found relatively comfortable.
