    Good luck. Most cyclist commuters wind up finding this site after they’ve discovered the joys of commuting by bike.

    This may be out of scope, but since I’m always happy to talk: it was the prospect of SafeTrack in 2016 (when the red line was closed for much of November between Fort Totten and NoMa, similar to now) that led me to commuting more by bike (with daughter in tow for school) from our home in Brookland/Edgewood…

    …and though I’d found this site when I was still considering it, I think I can safely say the folks here (knowingly or not) played a big role in me going full-time “try to go everywhere by bike.”

    That’s nothing compared to Metro’s plan to reduce Orange/Silver/Blue line trains to every 20 Minutes(16 Minutes for Blue line) during rush hour for two weeks, starting August 11.

    Debatable given the duration, but there is something to be said for having a total shutdown to just completely remove Metro as an option.
