    A portion of the Eisenhower Avenue Trail is scheduled for resurfacing starting on Monday, December 4, 2017 until the resurfacing is completed. The resurfacing will take place on the segment on the south side of Eisenhower Avenue, opposite the Great Waves Water park running from where the trail meets the Holmes Run underpass and will end to the east just opposite Lake Cook. The Holmes Run Trail underpass connecting to the Eisenhower Avenue Trail will be closed during resurfacing. Users can utilize the North side of Eisenhower Avenue as an alternative route. Please refer to the map below.

    Paving on the Eisenhower Trail was nearly completed, but Verizon and Comcast need to to raise their utility boxes to allow final paving. That work is scheduled for December 22, which will necessitate the closing of the trail between the Holmes Run Underpass and opposite Lake Cook. The trail will be reopened by December 23. Cyclists should use the sidewalk on the north side of Eisenhower to get around the detour.
