    The Alexandria Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) will be meeting at 7 pm on November 13, 2017 at the Bradlee Safeway Community Room, 3526 King Street, Alexandria, Virginia.

    Please join us for discussion of two primary topics at Monday’s BPAC meeting:
    1. Cycling without Age (CWA).

    • CWA is a movement started in Copenhagen in 2012 offering free bike rides to local nursing home residents;
    • We’ll hear from two leaders of the DC Chapter of CWA about their experiences to date.

    2. Draft Vision Zero Action Plan and APD’s Traffic Safety Plan are posted for public comment here.

    • We’ll discuss and collect member and public comments on their thoughts and top priorities in these plans,
    • If you are unable to attend Monday’s meeting, please send comments on these plans to Jim Durham (jimandcarey48@comcast.net) and Zack DesJardins (ZacharyDesJardins@gmail.com) Thanks so much.

    We’ve also asked the Alexandria Police Department (APD) for updates on several recent pedestrian crashes and we’ll discuss Complete Street project status with the City’s Complete Streets planner, Amanda Mansfield.
