As you may have heard, the Climate Ride: Red, White, and Blue Ridge ends in DC on the steps of the US Capitol!!!

While I know it’s a work/school day, we want to invite one and all to join us for the mass ride through the city and the rally finale.
Further, I want to get a recovery beer afterword, so I want to invite you to join me for an informal post-ride-post-rally happy hour!

    Official Details:

2:30 pm: Gather at the pedestrian circle near the Thompson Boat Center, west of 30th St. NW (MAP HERE). Bring your own bike or pick up a Capital Bikeshare bike.

2:45 pm: Riders depart to pedal Constitution Avenue to the US Capitol, and then to the Upper Senate Park.

3:15 pm: Riders arrive at Upper Senate Park.

3:30 pm: Keynote Address from Senator Sheldon Whitehouse at the Upper Senate Park, New Jersey Ave. NW (MAP HERE).

4 pm: Event ends. Climate Riders depart the Upper Senate Park to ride to Canal Park. (We need to pick up our gear and whatnot)

Full info can be found on the official Climate Ride page here. (It may be good to check it for day-of updates)

    Unofficial Details

5:30/6pm-ish to ?: Join Kitty and any other interested Climate Riders for a post-ride pint at a venue near Canal Park/NavyYard.

Location: Blue Jacket – 300 Tingey St SE, Washington, DC 20003 | Super close to Canal Park (where us riders will be reunited with our stuff, close out accounts etc.)

Thanks Mr. T! I totally understand that most folks will be indisposed during the day, so that’s why I decided to add the HH. Lord knows what condition I/we will be in at the end of all of this, but I think a bit of celebration before collapse is in order.

For the venue, lets go with Blue Jacket. It looks like the Nats are out of town so it would probably be the most manageable venue in the area for a crowd. Besides, they have good beer, and that’s what matters. ;)
