ParticipantBy way of a bump, I’ll say thanks, that was fun. I haven’t been on a lot of those older trails since i used to occasionally commute from Arlington to Lanham via Tacoma Park more than 8 years ago. The new trail portions look great, and I really want to find a way to get back out there sometime.
I really have no idea how you find time to do all these, but I imagine it involves cloning yourself.

I completely agree! Just this morning, I was just talking with a colleague who was considering exploring those trails this weekend. I sent him the link to your video and it was most appreciated. I’m doing the Cider Ride this weekend, but will look to explore more of MD later this month. Thanks again!

ParticipantThese trails are great. Lots of nature. I’ll have to post a cool video of some deer I saw last time.
Husker – the weather is sunny and in the mid sixties this weekend. Perfect for a trip up to Bladensburg. Almost criminal not to. I did an out and back two weeks ago and did a meander up to the Sligo Creek Trail and came back down on Met Branch to Anacostia River Trail.

ParticipantI may be able to swing it sometime, but we are going to a concert Saturday night so it’s difficult this weekend. Otherwise I probably would have signed up for the cider ride. It’s always something…

Sarah Bee’s is right off the Northeast Branch, so you could combine your ride with some beers and brats. The buzz is that I’ll “bee” heading out that way on Saturday.
(don’t like my puns? It’s just the way it is: que sarah, sarah.)

ParticipantI’m glad you guys like the video!
I don’t clone myself (although that would be an interesting yet terrifying existential crisis), but I do find time to create each video. Of course, the most fun parts are doing the actual ride and later seeing the results of my work, but I try to do a little each day.
For this ride (footage is from my October 23rd ride), I spent a lot of time working on the video for it this past Friday because after I had done my century ride for the day (took the day off), I was tired and wasn’t going to be moving much. The SafeTrack videos take the most time because they require so much planning, riding multiple routes with multiple approaches and usually multiple retakes, editing, creation of additional graphics, writing a script, and recording the voiceover, so this one was a lot easier to do.
Beers and brats sound like a wonderful post-Cider Ride idea (thanks, Sarah Bee!), but only if Steve O is dressed in black and yellow stripes (you then will have become your pun)
