Before I get into specs, here’s the backstory for why I’m selling the bike: I recently decided to get a fixie and while looking on Amazon, I noticed that there was 1 bike in Roma Red available — in my size — and on sale. These bikes retail for $760 and I figured Amazon had made a mistake so I called customer service. The rep thought it was odd but encouraged me to buy it immediately — and I did. The bike shipped on a Monday, but come Wednesday, I got an email that said there was a shipping error and that the bike had been returned to the warehouse. I called the rep again and they happily said they would honor the price I had paid before and sent me a new one in a different color. When I got home from work that Friday I saw I had two packages waiting, and lo and behold, there were two State Bikes at my door. (I know there’s a bit of an ethical dilemma here so I understand if you’re uncomfortable buying the bike.)
This is more than an ethical dilemma. What you are doing is illegal and fraudulent. Please contact Amazon and arrange to have the bike returned to them. 😡
