    The posts were askew earlier in the week. Probably as a result of the set-up activities on the Mall.

    I’ve found this to be particularly stupid, too. The ped button is placed where it cannot actually be reached by a person unless they go around the posts and chains and walk in the street.

    This is on the west side of 17th at the more southern crossing.

    What’s particularly stupid about that is that there’s a beg button at all. Whenever possible I press those buttons then jaywalk.

    Maybe it’s a placebo button. I think most of them are, actually.
