ParticipantThere were signs just south of the airport on the MVT indicated that there will be trail closures 6/2 and 6/3, and people should follow the detours. I presume it will be the same detour as before, but that is just a guess.

Yay! More mulch riding. Nice to see the work on the underpass is starting up again.

I totally glanced past those digital boards the last few days. It is one of the same detours. They closed the southern part of airport under bridge spot to fix the rest of that stone wall. I just want to note that according to Murphy’s Law, the second they finish it some cars will run into it and crush it. Just saying.

ParticipantI spoke with the construction workers on Case Bridge. Turns out they are installing colored lights under the bridge so it will look pretty at night. This is being paid for by the developers rebuilding the waterfront. Evidently having a smelly fish market is okay but not an ordinary looking bridge. Go figure.

ParticipantArlington, VA – Milling has been done on Walter Reed Dr between Route 7/King St and Wakefield St. For both directions, only the right (sharrows) lane is milled but has bumps around the manhole covers that are like speed bumps. The bumps have rather smooth transitions, but be prepared to take the full lane (there are signs saying “Bikes may use full lane” there already due to the sharrows) to better deal with the milled asphalt.
Fingers crossed that they bring back the bike lanes.

ParticipantArtema St (now Sichovykh Striltska St) for about four blocks west of Lukianivska Market has been milled for repaving and is a total mess (if any of you care
). Also we continue to have street collapses that appear to be caused by water line leaks eroding the subsoil. This one was next to the former New York Bagel store at Artema and Voznesenskyi Descent.
