Our realtor (not one of the ones in the article) said she’s finding an increasing number of people with bike-related requirements like I had–“xyz miles to work via a bike and close to a bike trail”, so she’s had to get more familiar with what is considered a safe and reasonable bike commute in Northern VA. My husband and I were one of 2-3 spring buyers she had with bike-related requirements this year, so she said it’s really becoming a thing realtors are having to learn more about.
The house we’re buying is off a street with a bike lane, less than 2 miles from the MVT and 13.5 miles from work via bike, so we got what I wanted
