    yes. My thinking is all or part of a couple of things. Water lets small sharp grit stick to tires and have more than one chance of being driven through. Water helps lubricate the sharp object as it is passing through the casing.

    I also find that it’s harder to see glass on the road and trails thanks to all the water on the ground, falling from the sky, on me and my glasses, etc.

    Water also moves debris around. So maybe it was next to the curb where you wouldn’t ride through it before it rained. The water moving along the gutter moves the debris out onto the street where you are more likely to ride over it. Another reason not to ride in the gutter.
