    WHEN: Sunday, Jan 10th, assemble @ 9:45am, wheels roll at 10am.

    WHERE: from the Falls Church Presbyterian Church parking lot off of Fairfax Drive, corner of 225 E Broad St, Falls Church, VA 22046 (parking and bathrooms available).

    We should be done by 12noon, after which you can choose post-ride coffee at Cafe Kindred or lunch at Clare & Don’s Beach Shack, both on Lee Highway, Falls Church.

    This is about a 20 mile loop, with multiple opens to either bail out or extend on either the Custis or WOD trails. If you get dropped on my ride, I will wait for you at the tops and bottoms of the hills (but not inbetween)

    Open invitation to any and all Freezing Saddles (except Powerful Pete; if he sneaks in, then he must climb the Quebec Street hill twice).

    I’m delaying the start of todays ride until 11am for safety reasons…the hills can be tricky in the rain with braking and traction. And I’m concerned about encountering motor vehicles on some segments. AccuWeather.com says the rain will stop at 11am.

    Everyone is welcomed to join me at Cafe Kindred on Lee Highway in Falls Church for pre-ride coffee at 10 AM.

    Pete’s Bikenetics rides are awesome, and he is a model ride leader. He also starts earlier than I can, so you might be able to do both if you time it right.

    Being seen with Boomer (aka Boomie?) causes negative repercussions to my delicate sensibilities. Or something like that. I am just hurt he doesn’t invite me to drink beer (of course, also purchasing it for me, just cuz…).

    You have to have a cute, bumblebee avatar to call him Boomie. Yours is pretty cute, PP, but not quite cute enough.
    Also, I hear you were ill. Probably a good idea for you to rest easy until you are certain you are completely well. Sometime in March seems advisable.
